19th Avenue Streetscape Improvement Project Phase II

The 19th Avenue Streetscape Improvement Project Phase II extends from Wawona Street to Eucalyptus Drive in the Sunset District. 19th Avenue is a crucial transportation route that serves as a local urban arterial and as California State Route 1. The project will convert currently paved medians along the three blocks into planted medians. Plants will be drought tolerant and low water using. The plants will be low profile to maintain visibility and protect pedestrian safety.

Median Plants

  • Aloe striata – Coral Aloe
  • Aloe saponaria – Soap Aloe
  • Aloe cameronii – Red Aloe
  • Aloe brevifolia – Short Leaf Aloe
