Community Clean Team

Community Clean Team is San Francisco Public Works’ longest-running and largest volunteer program that keeps San Francisco beautiful through landscaping and gardening projects, graffiti removal and litter cleanup in our neighborhoods. Community Clean Team, in partnership with the Giant Sweep anti-litter campaign, needs your help to keep our city clean and green in 2018. Join us and volunteer!

Make sure to check out our Arbor Day eco fair while you're at Washington High School! There will be free family fun for all ages. If you enjoy carnival games, petting zoos, healthy snacks and building planter boxes -- you're in luck!

What you need to know before you volunteer:

  • Community Clean Team is a fun event for people of all ages! You can register as a team or as an individual.
  • Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the speaking program begins at 9 a.m.
  • A complimentary lunch will be served at 12 p.m. after the neighborhood improvements are complete.
  • Remember to bring your reusable water bottle to help us reduce waste.
  • Make sure to wear closed-toe shoes and appropriate work clothes.

Don't leave it on the sidewalk!

Take advantage of the Community Clean Team's Gigantic 3 program, a service provided to residents to get rid of large and small unwanted household items - we will try to reuse or recycle them!

Appointments are recommended, please call Recology Sunset Scavenger at (415) 330-1300 before 1:00 pm Friday, March 16. You must be a resident of the host district to make an appointment.

Free compost for your garden!

Recology will be giving away up to 5 gallons of compost. No appointments required; while supplies last.
