San Francisco, CA - Public Works, Supervisor John Avalos and hundreds of volunteers are expected to come out to the Community Clean Team volunteer event Saturday, Oct. 17 at 9 a.m. to beautify and restore areas in District 11.
Volunteers will be planting, cleaning up litter, abating graffiti and restoring public spaces, including Balboa Park, the Alemany Boulevard corridor and along Ocean Avenue. The cleanup event is open to the public and kicks off at Balboa High School, 1000 Cayuga Ave.

This is the 10th of 11 Community Clean Team events planned for 2015. Once a month, Public Works invites the community to gather together to beautify and spruce up the streets and sidewalks in their neighborhoods to keep the City clean and beautiful for residents and visitors. For more than 15 years, Community Clean Team has been partnering with neighbors and community organizations to keep San Francisco clean, amassing more than 150,000 volunteer hours.
