Reason(s) for Tree Removal: While tree appears to have vigor, the structure is poor. Posted as a hazardous tree after reviewing service request submitted by the public about a leaning tree with a crack. Though the tree is small and has established lean, there is a cavity on the tension side of tree. Decay is likely spreading. Tree should be removed and replaced in situ by shifting away from gas and meet required distance from sewer. Added to deferred replacement report if not replaced within 120 days.

Reason(s) for Tree Removal: Tree health is in decline. Structure is poor, significant lean due to previous partial root failure. Tree is stable but roots have damaged adjacent propoerty front entrance walkway. Repairing walkway would require root pruning that has a high liklihood of destabalizing the tree. Location can be replanted and tree will be replaced with a 24" box Olive 'Swan Hill'. Permit application 794890.

Posting Period: 04/08/24 - 05/08/24

640 Polk St

Site Number: 1

Reason(s) for Tree Removal: While tree appears healthy, it has very poor structure that cannot be improved by pruning or retraining. The tree is wind swept and has a dogleg like scaffold branch. Tree lacks clearance over sidewalk and cannot be restructured without excessive removal of branches. It is best to remove and replace in situ.

Posting Period: 4/8/24 - 5/8/24
