PUBLIC WORKS PREPARES LEFTY O’DOUL BRIDGE FOR SF GIANTS OPENING DAY
Motorists Encouraged To Take Alternate Routes during Work Hours
SAN FRANCISCO, CA-- In preparation for the SF Giants opening day on April 13, the Lefty O’Doul Bridge, between Berry Street and Terry A. Francois Street, will be closed to vehicles and bicycles traveling in the northbound direction. Department of Public Works crews will apply necessary anti-skid coating on the steel decking of the northbound lanes to ensure the continued safe use of the structure. The project is scheduled to begin at 9 am on Monday, April 9 and complete by 9am on Friday, April 13.
Traffic will be detoured around the bridge during noted work hours and northbound travelers are encouraged to take 4th Street Bridge as an alternate route. Traffic controllers and signage will be available to direct motorists and bicyclists. Southbound traffic lanes will continue to stay open to traffic and pedestrian travel will not be affected.
What: Maintenance to the Lefty O’Doul Bridge on 3rd Street. Northbound lanes to temporarily close.
