GRAFFITI PAINT OUT AT WARM WATER COVE PARK
Community volunteers and businesses help take back
vandalized waterfront park on August 4th
WHO: Volunteers from the Dogpatch and Potrero Hill neighborhoods will join the San Francisco Department of Public Works and the Port of San Francisco, members of Graffiti Watch, and Port property owners
WHAT: Massive cleanup of graffiti vandalism and other beautification projects
WHERE: Warm Water Cove Park
24th St. and Illinois St. (east of Third St.)

WHEN: Saturday, August 4, 2007
9 a.m. to 12 noon cleanup
12 noon free lunch for all volunteers
WHY: To reclaim one of the only parks on the eastern waterfront for community use. Warm Water Cove Park has become a destination for graffiti vandals from all over the Bay Area to practice their tagging on park property and neighboring buildings. Beginning August 4, the park will be declared off limits to taggers and a community planning process led by the Port of San Francisco, the Piero Patri Foundation, Neighborhood Parks Council's BlueGreen Way, will get underway.
