Staff approved and posted for removal one (1) Cordyline australis, Dracena Palm without replacement in order to meet the requirement for a 4’ ADA accessible path to the shared spaces parklet. Only the smallest tree is to be removed. No in-lieu fee and no replacement. 1 Dracena palm (about 6' high) to be removed. There are two additional Dracena palm plants adjacent to the Parklet space. The largest one is to be preserved.

The street tree is cracking at the base of tree trunk on the tension side of lean; tree is weakened. The city also received a service request about the poor condition of this street tree.
