Reason(s) for Tree Removal: LTree is located in direct path of construction for DBI permits (202302061466 & 202302061468) and DPW permits (23IE-00198 & 24DW-00029) which are required by SF Planning in order to resolve enforcement case 2017-014634ENF and alleviate traffic concerns. Permit no 796610. An in-lieu fee of $2520 will be paid by owner for permanent loss of site.
Reason(s) for Tree Removal: Profuse fruit production creates slipping hazard on steep slope. Species is undesirable due to root- infrastructure impacts. Purple leaf plum trees are not a long-lived species, and are prone to root failures 20 years after planting due to decay. Past topping cuts by PG&E (for clearance from overhead high-voltage lines) increases risk of branch failures. Tree will be replaced with more appropriate species by property owner.
Reason(s) for Tree Removal: Location of tree at vehicle exit for loading zone of senior center, upcoming required sidewalk repair will destabilize tree. Species is not compatible with site and has outgrown space. Location IS replantable unless conflict with underground utilities is found. If conflict is found, replacement will be relocated or added to deferred replacement report if replacement location not found within 120 days.
