San Francisco Public Works has hired Precision Engineering, Inc. to construct new curb ramps at intersections throughout San Francisco. This project will include demolishing existing curb ramps & curbs, constructing new, ADA-compliant curb ramps and reconstructing adjacent areas of the sidewalk and curb lane.Work will be taking place at the following intersections:
Once curb ramp work is completed at all listed locations, the contractor will then begin re-paving the adjacent intersections. The start dates and sequencing of this re-paving work will be added to this page as soon as they are confirmed by Public Works and our contractor. Once all curb ramp and paving work is completed at the above locations, crews will then begin constructing curb ramps at a new set of locations, listed below:
Note: Construction schedules, dates and durations are subject to change due to rain, equipment breakdown, unforeseen field conditions, existing utility conflicts, or crew availability.
Although there will be minimal restrictions to on-street parking, this project will not cause any street closures or interruptions in sewer service. During construction, traffic control will be implemented and "No Parking/Tow Away Zone" signs will be posted in active work areas. Local access for Residents, Deliveries and Emergency Services will be provided at all times during work hours. A full, accessible path of pedestrian travel will be maintained throughout the construction process.
