Certificates for NBD All Stars!

  • Our volunteer program won’t be possible without the support of our amazing student volunteers. To recognize your effort formally, we will start awarding certificates to All Stars.
  • Bay Area students (ages 6-25) can earn a certificate for attending 6 or more NBD events in a calendar year.
  • To qualify, student volunteers must sign in twice at each NBD event. Sign your name on a Team registration form and then on a separate potential All Stars Tracker form and include the name of your school.
  • Certificates will be passed out at the October and/or November NBD events. All Stars should attend those events.
  • Awardees will also be honored on this NBD All Stars website.

Attending an Event?

Any NBD project ideas?

If you have suggestions/ideas for NBD projects, please email your idea to DPW-NBD@sfdpw.org at least 7 weeks before the relevant NBD event. Include the closest building address or street intersection to the proposed location. If you belong to a community group or organization, please include the organization name and whether or not the organization is planning to attend the NBD event and work on this specific worksite.

NBD project ideas should fit the following criteria:

  • Can be completed by volunteers and staff in 2 – 2.5 hours
  • Do not involve infrastructure improvements
  • Volunteers cannot operate heavy equipment or power tools
  • Examples: gardening/landscaping, green waste removal, mulching, painting over graffiti, picking up litter, planting trees

Please note that community requests will be discussed amongst staff and evaluated for safety, feasibility, and more. Thanks for understanding.
