Community Clean Team Summer Beach Cleanup
Volunteers paint out graffiti and remove litter from Ocean Beach
San Francisco, Ca – Join the Community Clean Team at Ocean Beach this summer to help clean up the beach, paint out graffiti and beautify the neighborhood. The Clean Team Summer Beach Cleanup will be held on Saturday, July 12 at 9 a.m. Call (415) 385-7778 or log on to www.sfconnect.org to sign up or to get more information.
The Beach cleanup is hosted by the Department of Public Works, the National Park Service and the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy. The Community Clean Team is a citywide volunteer program presented by the Department of Public Works in partnership with the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department, San Francisco Parks Trust, Green Connect, and the San Francisco Unified School District. The Beach Cleanup is one of several cleaning and greening events that the Clean Team will conduct in District One on July 12.
The Clean Team will also host volunteer cleanup activities in two other locations. One group will weed and remove ivy from the median, edge sidewalks and pick up litter from the Park Presidio median. A group of youth volunteers will be greening and beautifying the Argonne Community Garden at 15th Avenue and Fulton Street.
Sunset Scavenger Company is providing Gigantic Three services to residents in District One on Saturday morning from 8 am to 12 noon at The Great Highway and Fulton to help them recycle, compost and drop off household bulky items. Proof of residency in District One is required.
