Pruning to mitigate the failure will require the removal of the tree's central canopy, which in turn will make the tree more prone to future failures. The ficus tree has previous branch failures, been repeatedly hit by vehicles and has included bark at crucial unions. The tree has fair to poor structure. The tree is replaceable.
