SAN FRANCISCO PUBLIC WORKS CELEBRATES ARBOR DAY 2024 BY PLANTING 100 NEW STREETS TREES AND HOSTING FAMILY-FUN FAIR

274 Roosevelt Way

Site: 1

Reason(s) for Tree Removal: Sidewalk repairs will require the pruning of tree roots, which would significantly compromise the stability of the tree. Due to the limited space within the sidewalk area, replanting at the original location is not feasible. As a result, a new tree will need to be relocated and replanted in a more suitable location.

Posting Period: 04/14/25 - 05/14/25

510 Central Ave.

Site: 2

Reason(s) for Tree Removal: The tree exhibits structural deficiencies, with a history of prior failures. A significant included bark split runs down the center, exposing the bark on a major limb. These structural concerns, coupled with the tree's declining health, present a potential safety hazard to the surrounding area. Location is replantable.
