Fell Street Pavement Renovation and Sewer Replacement Project

PROJECT UPDATE 

Week of December 6, 2010 
- There are three-blocks of paving remaining, between Buchannan and Steiner Streets.  Weather permitting, we will begin grinding the asphalt on Thursday, completing detail work on Friday and paving this coming Saturday, December 11th, 2010.  

PROJECT INFORMATION 

The Department of Public Works is making major roadway renovations on Fell Street from Polk Street to Steiner Street. 



The scope of work includes concrete base repair, pavement renovation, along with curb-ramp installation, sidewalk improvements and some sewer work. Sewer work will occur, between Fillmore and Steiner streets. 



There will be limited parking during construction work hours ( 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.). Please see signs for exact work days, hours and locations as they may vary depending on the construction task. 



Please observe parking and traffic signs and allow extra travel time in case of traffic delays during construction work. Street-cleaning parking restrictions will continue. . 



During construction, expect a certain level of noise, dust and disruption from the excavation equipment. Our construction team will do their best to minimize impacts to area businesses and residents 



Access to private and commercial buildings will be maintained at all times. 



DURATION AND HOURS 

This work will last approximately five months, from August 2010 to December 2010. 

Work hours are from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm from Polk Street to Gough Street and 7:00 am-3:00pm west of Gough.
