San Francisco Public works has hired Michael O'Shaughnessy Construction Inc. to carry out pavement renovation and sewage replacement throughout the city. This project is part of Various Locations Pavement Renovation and Sewage Replacement Project No. 79. Much of this work will involve grinding (removing existing asphalt), concrete road base reconstruction, ADA compliant curb ramp reconstruction, and sewer work.

San Francisco Public Works has hired Esquivel Grading and Paving, Inc. to perform a variety of infrastructure improvements along Howard Street between 4th Street and the Embarcadero. The Howard Transbay Streetscape Improvement Project has begun and we have been coordinating prep-work such as staging, traffic-control and roadway potholing (for underground utilities). The construction scheduled sequencing will start at the Embarcadero and work west toward 4th Street.
San Francisco Public Works has partnered with Esquivel Grading & Paving, Inc. to perform vital infrastructure improvements along Beale Street Street between Market Street and Folsom Street. Construction on this project is scheduled to begin in late Summer 2025 and reach completion in Summer 2026.
San Francisco Public Works Bureau of Landscape Architecture is leading a grant-funded planning effort for a new open space in the SoMa (South of Market) neighborhood. The project site is composed of Caltrans property between 4th Street and 6th Street and Harrison and Bryant streets. The planning effort will result in a concept level design and report.
