13th Street Safety Improvement Project
• San Francisco Public Works continues work on the 13th Street Safety Improvement Project.
• The contractor completed curb ramps at the northwest corner of Mission/13th/Otis intersection
San Francisco Public Works has hired Michael O'Shaughnessy Construction, Inc. to complete infrastructure improvements on several blocks throughout the city as part of our Various Locations Pavement Renovations & Sewer Replacement Project #67B. This work will consist of roadway re-pavement, concrete base reconstruction, curb ramp construction, making them ADA compliant and sewer replacement work.

Overview: February 2026 Update
The City continues to move forward with traffic signal upgrades and accessibility improvements at key intersections. Over the next three weeks, crews will be focused on completing signal punch list items, coordinating with utility providers, and finalizing curb ramp installations.
These efforts aim to enhance pedestrian safety, improve traffic flow, and support accessibility for all street users.

There’s a lot to celebrate on Folsom Street! With roadway paving now complete, the corridor is taking on its finished form, creating a smoother, safer, and more welcoming experience for everyone who lives, works, and visits the neighborhood.
To allow construction crews to work in the roadway and in the Muni trackway, we will be shutting down Market Street between 5th and 8th Streets from 5:00am on Saturday, October 14th through Saturday, October 28th. During this period, we'll be temporarily moving above-ground transit off Market Street between 3rd Street and 10th Street to avoid the construction zone.
San Francisco Public Works has hired Precision Engineering, Inc. to construct new curb ramps at intersections throughout San Francisco. This project will include demolishing existing curb ramps & curbs, constructing new, ADA-compliant curb ramps and reconstructing adjacent areas of the sidewalk and curb lane.Work will be taking place at the following intersections:
San Francisco Public Works and the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission have partnered to complete infrastructure improvements on several blocks throughout San Francisco as part of our Various Locations #56 project. Our partnership allows us to minimize impacts to the public by consolidating our work whenever possible. This project will include sewer main replacement/rehabilitation, curb ramp installation, street base repairs, grinding (removal of existing asphalt) and repaving.
