- Municipal Asphalt Study - 2006 - A report evaluating the viability of the City and County of San Francisco continuing operation of the Municipal Asphalt Plant.
- Transportation Capital Plan - 2003-04 - Provides strategic plan for managing the funding needs of transportation-related activities.
- Surveillance - The City and County of San Francisco values privacy and protection of San Francisco residents’ civil rights and civil liberties. As required by San Francisco Administrative Code, Section 19B, the Surveillance Technology Policy aims to ensure the responsible use of Unmanned aerial vehicles (“UAV” or “Drone” technology) itself as well as any associated data, and the protection of City and County of San Francisco residents’ civil rights and liberties.
Mission
San Francisco Public Works is one of the largest and most complex municipal operations in the City, with a 1,600-member workforce and a $384 million annual operating budget. The department's active capital project portfolio exceeds $3 billion. As one of San Francisco oldest City departments, it is also one of the most forward-thinking.
