Reason(s) for Tree Removal: This street tree is proposed for removal to accommodate public infrastructure improvements. The tree consists of two main stems, one of which shows previous structural failure and an increased likelihood of future breakage. Due to its current position between active utilities and new pedestrian crossing infrastructure, the tree conflicts with required construction space and Pedestrian safety clearances. Replanting at this exact location is not feasible because of these permanent conflicts. A replacement tree will be planted at a nearby suitable location to maintain urban canopy benefits.
