Reason(s) for Tree Removal: Removal without replacement at the same site of one (1) Italian stone pine tree (Pinus pinea) by Public Works. While the tree canopy itself shows good vigor, and the structure is fair, the issue with the tree is the amount of sidewalk damaged caused by the roots of the tree. The tree roots are uplifting 2 driveways and the roadway. The tree has outgrown its space. Major roots will need to be removed in order to make repairs, resulting in destabilization of the tree.Tree is not replantable at this site but will be replaced nearby. The tree is also beginning to block access to the fire hydrant on one side. Sidewalk has been repaired mutliple times; wrong tree, wrong place.
