Reason(s) for Tree Removal:This tree is a large Ficus located on a small curb cut on the sidewalk. The location is currently undergoing sidewalk repair. The trees roots will be impacted by the repair and will cause instability as well as decline. Construction would require cutting major structural roots. The sidewalk repair will encroach the trees critical root zone the removal of these roots exceeds acceptable limits under standard arboricultural practices. These impacts will compromise the health and survivability of the tree. I recommend removal and replacement with an more appropriate species.
