January 28, 2026: Sidewalk reconstruction taking place on First Street.
Between January 30th and February 6th, 2026, our construction crews will be replacing the brick sidewalk at the southwest and southeast corners of the First Street and Market Street intersection.

Project Description
San Francisco Public Works has hired Michael O'Shaughnessy Construction, Inc. to complete infrastructure improvements on several blocks throughout the city as part of our Various Locations Pavement Renovations & Sewer Replacement Project #67B. This work will consist of roadway re-pavement, concrete base reconstruction, curb ramp construction, making them ADA compliant and sewer replacement work.

Project Description
San Francisco Public Works has hired Sage Consulting Engineers, Inc. to construct new curb ramps at intersections throughout San Francisco. This project will include demolishing existing curb ramps & curbs, constructing new ADA-compliant curb ramps and reconstructing adjacent areas of the sidewalk and curb lane. The scope of work will include saw-cutting the sidewalk and gutter, removing concrete, framing and pouring concrete and placing asphalt in the gutter area.
