🔧 What Is Grind & Pave?
Grind and pave is a multi-step process that includes:
Grinding – Crews remove the top layer of existing asphalt using specialized equipment. This may result in a rough surface temporarily.
Base & Concrete Work (select areas) – Concrete base repairs, sidewalk work, or related improvements may occur before paving.
Paving – A new layer of asphalt is installed to create a smoother, safer roadway.
Striping & Final Touches – Lane markings and final adjustments are completed following paving.
⏰ Work Hours
Monday through Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Work may begin as early as 7:00 AM
Traffic lane restrictions and tow-away enforcement begin at 8:00 AM
Weekend work is allowed; however, none is anticipated at this time
*Schedules may change due to weather or unforeseen conditions.
🚗 Traffic, Parking & Access
Temporary lane closures and traffic delays should be expected
Driveway access will be maintained, though brief delays may occur while crews work nearby
On paving days, vehicles may need to be temporarily relocated to allow asphalt placement and curing
Please observe posted “No Parking / Tow Away” signs on construction barricades for exact dates and times
Allow extra travel time during construction hours
🔊 Noise & Construction Activity
Residents may notice:
Construction noise from grinding and paving equipment
Increased truck traffic in the area
Dust and vibrations during grinding operations
These impacts are temporary and necessary to complete the work efficiently and safely.
✅ Thank You for Your Patience
We appreciate your cooperation as we complete these important roadway improvements. This work will result in smoother streets, enhanced safety, and longer-lasting pavement for the community.
