Joice Alley Lighting Improvement Project

The Joice Alley Light Improvement Project installed new pedestrian-scale street lights and all electrical conduit, electrical services, sidewalk restoration while maintaining historic alphabet concrete tablets and minor roadway restoration required on Joice Alley, between Clay St and Sacramento St in Chinatown. This is a high traffic alleyway and an important pedestrian path for the young and old in the San Francisco's Chinatown neighborhood. This alley is lined with the Chinese Historical Society of America Museum, the Cameron House (cultural organization that serves families in Chinatown), various residential buildings, as well as situated directly across from Gordon J. Lau Elementary. It is also located one block away from the Powell cable car line, one block away from the 30 Stockton MUNI line, and 2 blocks away from the new Chinatown subway station.
