Volunteer with Your Valentine for Chinese New Year
Chinese New Year Clean Up!
Get ready to clean up and welcome the Year of the Tiger in 2010! Chinatown is an important landmark in San Francisco and the most popular location to celebrate Chinese New Year! The Dept. of Public Works, Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Chinatown CDC, SF Housing Authority, SF Municipal Transportation Agency, Hilton Financial District, residents, and merchants are working together to make this historic neighborhood shine in time for the Chinese New Year Celebration!
Volunteers will work alongside local businesses, residents, and school children to plant trees, work at gardens in public housing , beautify schools, paint trash receptacles, remove graffiti and pick up litter along the Chinese New Year Parade route. We will also steam clean, repair sidewalks, and repaint curbs.
We need your help to spruce up Chinatown for the Chinese New Year! Volunteer with your valentine and receive a lucky red envelope for the year of the Tiger!
