Volunteers to Beautify the Shoreline and Neighborhoods

San Francisco, CA –Public Works invites volunteers to join us Saturday to clean and beautify the City’s southeastern shoreline as part of California’s coastal cleanup day of service.

"Volunteers are our greatest asset in keeping our neighborhoods and the coastline clean,” said San Francisco Public Works Director Mohammed Nuru. “As the majestic City by the Bay, we have a responsibility to be good stewards of our waterfront parks and beaches and surrounding neighborhoods. Our Community Clean Team/Giant Sweep workday is a great opportunity for people to get involved.”

More than 300 volunteers will spread across San Francisco’s southeastern neighborhoods and the Richmond District on the City’s west side to pick up litter, beautify parks and spruce up tree basins.
