Divisadero Streetscape Construction Information

Under the direction of the Department of Public Works, Synergy Project Management Inc. began construction activity along Divisadero Street between Waller Street and Geary Boulevard in September 2009.

This revitalization project will consist of sewer installations, roadway pavement renovation, curb-ramps and new sidewalk bulb-outs. In addition, there will be beautification improvements such as new street-lighting fixtures, sidewalk and median landscaping and benches.

Project Duration: 16 Months, September 2009- January 2011

For Your Information

Sewer Work is expected to be completed within 30 days and occurs between the following blocks:
" Page Street and Oak Street
" McAllister Street and Turk Street
" Ellis Street and O'Farrell Street

Your sewer/water service will not be disrupted.

Paving Work will be done in 2-block segments, one side of the street at a time. Each segment (side) is expected to take approximately 10 days to complete.

The contractor will do their best to minimize impacts to area businesses and residents. During construction expect a certain level of noise, dust and disruption from the excavation equipment. The contractor will do their best to minimize impacts to area businesses and residents. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes to avoid delays.

Street Restrictions

Parking will temporarily be removed along Divisadero and adjacent streets. Access to private driveways and emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times. Also, bus routes will continue to operate along Divisadero.

Permissible Work Hours

Monday-Friday
9 a.m.–4 p.m.

Saturday-Sunday
8 a.m.-6 p.m.
