Spring Ocean Beach Clean up

Volunteers paint out graffiti and remove litter from the beach

San Francisco, Ca – The Community Clean Team, a citywide volunteer program, will host a Spring Ocean Beach clean up on Saturday, April 14, 2007 from 9 am to 12 noon. Over 150 volunteers will help paint out graffiti on the seawall, and remove litter from the beach to keep the Ocean Beach clean and graffiti free.

The Ocean Beach clean up is a joint partnership of the Clean Team, National Park Service and Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy. Besides helping recruit volunteers for the event, the National Park Service and Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy will install 12 fire pits

on the beach to ensure public safety and keep the beach clean and user-friendly.

The Community Clean Team is a multi-agency program led by the Department of Public Works, in partnership with the Recreation and Park Department, Department of Environment, and non-profit partners SF Clean City, SF Connect, and San Francisco Parks Trust.
