Attend Meetings
The Public Works Commission meets on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month, unless otherwise noted. Please check the meeting agenda for the specific hearing room. Aside from meetings in closed session, Commission meetings are open to the public.
Regular Commission meetings are also broadcast on cable via SFGTV and streamed. Broadband service is recommended for access.
SFGTV archives of the Public Works Commission include a recording of each meeting, a file containing all closed captions from the meeting and an MP3 recording of the meeting.
Mission
San Francisco Public Works is one of the largest and most complex municipal operations in the City, with a 1,600-member workforce and a $384 million annual operating budget. The department's active capital project portfolio exceeds $3 billion. As one of San Francisco oldest City departments, it is also one of the most forward-thinking.
