Members of the public may address the hearing officer on matters that are within the department’s jurisdiction but not on today’s agenda.
3. Hearing Order 208241
To consider removal of one (1) street tree without replacement adjacent to 550 Terry A Francois Blvd (Tree is on Warriors Way). Staff has approved the removal and the public has protested. Tree removal permit application no. 794235.
4. Hearing Order 208242
To consider removal of one (1) street tree without replacement adjacent to 1450 Post St. Location is not re-plantable due to conflict with utilities and planting guidelines {clearance required from street light}. Permit 794267. Permit holder is not responsible to relocate a replacement site off property if there is not sufficient space. Staff has approved the removal and the public has protested.
5. Hearing Order 208243
To consider removal of one (1) street tree without replacement adjacent to 1462 Lake St. Location is not re-plantable due to conflict with planting guidelines {clearance required from stop sign and intersection}. Permit 794469. Permit holder is not responsible to relocate a replacement site off property if there is not sufficient space. Staff has approved the removal and the public has protested.
6. Hearing Order 208244
To consider removal of one (1) street tree without replacement adjacent to 1550 Clement St. Location is not re-plantable due to conflict with planting guidelines {clearance required from stop sign and intersection}. Public Works to locate a new cut site for the replacement. Marked as delayed replacement. Staff has approved the removal and the public has protested.
7. Hearing Order 208245
To consider removal of thirteen (13) significant trees on private property without replacement and removal of twelve (12) street trees with replacement adjacent to 730 Stanyan Street (Haight St, Waller St, Stanyan St). Tree removal permit application no. 788375. An in-lieu fee or appraised value will be assessed, for each tree removed that cannot be replanted (whichever is the greater amount of the two). Staff has approved the removal and the public has protested.
Public Works hearings are held through videoconferencing and will provide for remote public comment.
Persons unable to participate in the videoconference may submit written comments regarding the subject matter to Bureau of Urban Forestry at 49 South Van Ness Ave. Suite 1000, San Francisco CA., 94103 or urbanforestry@sfdpw.org. Comments received before the hearing will be brought to the attention of the hearing officer and made a part of the official public record. Individuals who wish to use materials such as PowerPoint files, documents and photo images in their presentations must send the materials to Bureau of Urban Forestry via email at urbanforestry@sfdpw.org by 5 p.m. the day before the hearing. If attendees access the webinar via a computer, they will be able to share documents themselves via the “share screen” functionality.
