SF Public Works – VL 71A Update

This week, crews completed grinding and paving on Clay Street between Taylor and Mason, along with cistern ring installation. 

The remaining work at Clay and Taylor will involve some sub-sidewalk basement work, which we expect to take about two weeks once they begin.  We'll share the schedule as soon as it's confirmed. 

Thank you for your patience as this work moves forward.

⏰ Work Hours

Monday through Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Work may begin as early as 7:00 AM

• Traffic lane restrictions and tow-away enforcement begin at 8:00 AM

• Weekend work is allowed; however, none is anticipated at this time

*Schedules may change due to weather or unforeseen conditions.

🚗 Traffic, Parking & Access

• Temporary lane closures and traffic delays should be expected

• Driveway access will be maintained, though brief delays may occur while crews work nearby

• Please observe posted “No Parking / Tow Away” signs on construction barricades for exact dates and times

• Allow extra travel time during construction hours

🔊 Noise & Construction Activity

Residents may notice:

• Construction noise from grinding and paving equipment

• Increased truck traffic in the area

• Dust and vibrations during grinding operations

These impacts are temporary and necessary to complete the work efficiently and safely.
