GIANT SWEEP VIDEO CONTEST OFFERS STUDENTS $1,000 PRIZES
30-second spots should capture spirit of civic pride and a clean San Francisco
San Francisco, CA -- We can’t hand out Academy Awards, but we can pony up $1,000 prizes for the best student-made videos that promote the Giant Sweep campaign goal of keeping San Francisco clean and beautiful.
Starting today, we will be accepting submissions for the Giant Sweep video contest. The winning public service videos will be used to help spread the word on the importance of caring for San Francisco by not trashing our streets, parks and sidewalks.
Creativity – both in content and technical production – will count big. The goal is to capture people’s attention and to inspire.
Videos longer than 30 seconds will not be judged. Guidelines and eligibility rules can be found athttp://www.sfgiantsweep.org/contests/giant-sweep-video-contest.
One student winner will be picked from each of the following categories: middle school, high school and college. The contest is open to students who live and/or go to school in San Francisco. Submissions are due Feb. 28, 2014.
The winning videos will be featured on the Giant Sweep website, SFGovTV and our other social media platforms.
