PUBLIC WORKS TO HOST WORKSHOP ON NEW GUIDELINES FOR MOBILE FOOD VENDORS

Workshop will review new permit process

San Francisco, CA— The Department of Public Works is hosting a workshop for people interested in applying for a permit to open and operate a mobile food facility. In the past two months, DPW worked closely with stakeholders and interested vendors to develop guidelines in order to apply and obtain a permit to become a food cart vendor operator in San Francisco. The workshop will include a review of the new guidelines and the application process. Representatives with the Department of Public Health and the San Francisco Fire Department will also be on hand to answer questions and discuss standard operating procedures and other requirements.
