Mission Street & Mount Vernon Avenue Sewer Project
Replacement of the sewer main continues along Mission Street. In order to expedite the work, the contractor has chosen to use two crews along Mission Street. The first crew continues working Southward on Mission Street between Foote Avenue and Naglee Street. The second team is currently working at the Mission and Farragut intersection and will continue Southward until reaching the Oliver Street intersection.
We will need to eliminate street parking while sewer main replacement work takes place on a block. Because of the size of the new pipe and the size of the trench, we'll need to minimize travel to one lane in each direction along Mission Street. Once the contractor completes work, he will then restore the two travel lanes in each direction. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
The San Francisco Department of Public Works (DPW) and the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) would like to thank you for your continued patience as we work together to make improvements throughout San Francisco. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call.
