Turk Street Pavement Renovation Project
Under direction of the Department of Public Works, our contractor, Esquivel Grading & Paving, Inc. is scheduled to begin roadway renovations on Turk Street between Market Street and Van Ness Avenue. This project will include the installation of new asphalt pavement, curbs and curb-ramps and will last approximately four (4) months.
The work sequence will begin at the Market Street end of the project limits and continue toward Van Ness Avenue completing the project (seven blocks). Each city block will take approximately two (2) weeks to complete.
This project began October 2009 and will last approximately 4 months. The project includes improvements to the curbs, sidewalks and new ADA curb-ramps.
During Construction, expect a certain level of noise, dust and disruption from the excavation equipment. The contractor will try to minimize the impacts to area businesses and residents. Access to your business or property will be maintained at all times during construction. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes to avoid delays.
Parking restrictions will apply in the construction zone during works hours. Access to private driveways and emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times. Please contact Public Affairs if you will need special accommodations or need to coordinate access. Bus service will not be interrupted.
