TEMPORARY GREAT HIGHWAY CLOSURE 

Sand-removal work under way

San Francisco, CA -- The Great Highway, between Sloat Boulevard and Lincoln Way, was shut down in both directions this morning due to sand on the roadway.

San Francisco Department of Public Works crews are on the scene now removing the sand. We hope to have the street reopened to traffic by 2:30 p.m. today and will send out an update once the work is completed.
