20th Street and De Haro Street Intersection Reconstruction Project
San Francisco Public Works will be managing upcoming construction on the intersection of 20th Street and De Haro Street on behalf of SFMTA. This project is a comprehensive re-design and re-grading of the intersection, including reconstruction within the roadway as well as on all four sidewalk corners. The goal of this project is to make the intersection safer, more accessible and efficient for pedestrians, private vehicles and the SFMTA 19 Beach Street bus line, which runs down De Haro Street.

Reason(s) for Tree Removal: Extensive trunk decay evidenced by several active termite colonies, rippling/sloughing bark, multiple decay fungal fruiting bodies. Thinning crown with lean over roadway. Codominant stems with included bark at elevated risk of failure. Location is replantable.

Project Description
The Union Street Pavement Renovation and Sewer Project seeks to address aging infrastructure along one of San Francisco’s historic dining and shopping districts. The project limits are Union Street between Lyon Street and Powell St (29 blocks).
