Various Locations Curb Ramps No. 18

San Francisco Public Works has hired A. Ruiz Construction, Inc. to build curb ramps at several locations throughout San Francisco. The intersections included in this contract are as follow:

  • Bay Street and Larkin Street
  • Octavia Street and Pacific Avenue
  • Ashbury Street and Frederick Street
  • Brush Place and Hallam Street
  • 8th Street and I-80 off-ramp
  • Alemany Blvd. and Hwy 101 off-ramp
  • Ingalls Street and Egbert Avenue

The overall contract is anticipated to take 8 months to complete. The timeline for each intersection will vary depending on the scope of work and how many corners need to be rebuilt at the intersection. Each corner should take approximately one week to build. The contractor will often work on diagonal corners at the same time. Curb ramps are essential in providing an accessible path of travel onto and off of sidewalks. Providing curb ramps is a fundamental way that the City strives to meet the goals of accessibility statutes and regulations, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

We thank you in advance for your patience during construction.
