This inspection confirms that the sidewalk and street next to your project still meet City standards and the Public Works Code after construction. If they do, Public Works can recommend early release of your building permit. Apply online.
This application covers the inspection only. It doesn't allow any sidewalk work or alterations, and it doesn't replace any other permits you may need for sidewalk or street improvements or encroachments.
Note: For Inspection of Conformity permit applications, Inspectors shall only be contacted to schedule the final inspection appointment.
HOW TO APPLY
When you apply online, include:
- Proof you can act for the owner. If you're not the property owner, submit a Certification of Authorized Agent.
- At least three color photos of every sidewalk and street frontage the property borders (full sidewalk conditions from all angles). Photos must be current and taken on site; Google Street View screenshots aren't accepted.
If the site doesn't meet City standards
If our review finds damaged or nonconforming conditions, you'll need to apply for a Street Improvement Permit instead. If there are existing encroachments or nonstandard features, you may need an encroachment permit to document them.
All required permits must be approved and issued before DBI can issue a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (TCO) or Certificate of Final Completion and Occupancy (CFCO).
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
The permit holder is required to pay all required fees. See fee schedule. The applications, plans and fees for said additional permits shall be submitted in full.
