Project Description

Public Works began improvements at the intersection of Geary Boulevard and Park Presidio Boulevard in August 2018.  This project aims to provide a safer and more inviting environment for Muni passengers, pedestrians, runners and vehicular traffic at the intersection of Geary Boulevard and Park Presidio Boulevard. Our goal was to construct improvements and features that reflect the needs of the community and reinforce neighborhood identity.

Community Clean Team Returns Saturday for a Robust 2017 Season

Volunteers to Spruce up Schools, Parks and Streets in District 2 Neighborhoods

This project will involve the renovation and improvement of Eureka Street between 23rd Street and Market Street, Grand View Avenue between Clipper Street and Market Street, Mangels Avenue from Plymouth Avenue to Burnside Avenue and at various locations throughout San Francisco. Rockslide Threat Prompts Temporary Closure of O’Shaughnessy Boulevard

Traffic will be detoured until the emergency work is completed

San Francisco, CA –The threat of a rockslide onto O’Shaughnessy Boulevard will necessitate the temporary closure of the roadway starting this afternoon to allow crews to make the hillside safe.

San Francisco Street Pavement Condition Improves for Fifth Year in a Row

Voter investments make the ride smoother for drivers, cyclists and transit riders

San Francisco, CA –The City’s regionally tracked roadway condition score continued to climb for the fifth year in a row, Mayor Ed Lee and Public Works Director Mohammed Nuru announced today.

VOLUNTEERS GEARING UP FOR NEIGHBORHOOD SPRUCE UP – RAIN OR SHINE
Community Clean Team’s season finale on Saturday will green and clean District 11

San Francisco, CA – More than 150 volunteers are expected to join Public Works crews and District 11 Supervisor John Avalos on Saturday at the final Community Clean Team event of the 2016 season.

It’s fascinating what you can find just by digging holes in the Bay Area—the hulks of buried ships, 240 vertical feet of garbage, and now a painstakingly crafted relic of the 1939 World's Fair.
