About the Public Works Commission
The Public Works Commission is the oversight body for the Department of Public Works. Commission meetings are also a forum for the public to hear about and comment on the department’s business. The Commission is made up of two appointees by the Board of Supervisors, two mayoral appointees and one appointee by the City Controller. The Mayor’s and Controller’s appointments are approved by the Board of Supervisors.
