Chinatown Improvement Projects

Three transformative capital improvement projects are coming soon to San Francisco’s historic Chinatown neighborhood, providing critical upgrades:
 
 
While each project is distinct, Public Works is managing construction on all three with a commitment to closely coordinate the work in partnership with the Department of Public Health, San Francisco Public Library, Recreation and Park Department and the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency. 
 
As a city, we are committed to minimizing construction impacts. When there are impacts, whether parking restrictions or sidewalk closures, we will do our best to provide information in advance and to troubleshoot real-time concerns.
 
The City will monitor transportation conditions during construction activities. Traffic and transit reroutes are subject to change. Check SFMTA.com/gochinatown for the latest information before traveling. 


華埠改善工程

三項重要翻新及改善工程項目即將於三藩市華埠展開，為社區帶來多項重要提升：

 

雖然三個項目各自獨立，三藩市工務局正統籌三項工程的施工安排，並聯同三藩市公共衞生局、三藩市公共圖書館、三藩市公園局，以及三藩市交通局緊密協調，務求有序推展各項工程。

 

市政府致力盡量減少工程對社區的影響。當工程涉及泊車限制、行人路封閉或其他安排時，我們會盡力提前發放相關資訊，並及時跟進和處理即時出現的問題。

 

市府將於施工期間密切留意交通狀況。道路交通及公共運輸繞行安排或會因應實際情況作出調整。出發前，請瀏覽 SFMTA.com/gochinatown 獲取最新資訊。

 

 

Important Updates:

 

Bridge demolition work is expected to take place from Aug. 1 to 15. From Aug. 1 to 10, crews will remove the portion of the pedestrian bridge over Kearny Street, including the section connected to the Hilton Hotel. From Aug. 10 to 15, crews will complete bridge removal on the park side of Kearny Street.

  • Kearny Street will be fully closed between Clay and Washington
    • Aug. 1, 1:00 a.m. to Aug. 3, 5:00 a.m.
    • Aug. 8, 1:00 a.m. to Aug. 10, 5:00 a.m.
    • Local business access will remain available.
       
  • Kearny Street will be partially closed between Clay and Washington
    • July 30 to 31 and Aug. 3 to 7.
    • Aug. 10 to 15: two west-side lanes and the park-side sidewalk may close if additional time is needed to remove the bridge support. Two east-side lanes will remain open. Muni service and regular stops will remain unchanged.
    • Kearny Street will be open with at least two lanes.
    • Drivers may use the designated detour routes to avoid congestion.
       
  • The Portsmouth Square Garage will be closed Aug. 1-2 and Aug. 8-9. It will remain open Monday-Friday during the demolition.
     
  • For the duration of this work, expect construction vehicles, lane closures, slower traffic, temporary “No Parking | Tow Away” zones and pedestrian detours along this section of Kearny Street. Please follow directions from on-site flaggers and posted signs, and allow extra travel time due to possible construction delays. Call 311 for questions about parking tickets or towed vehicles.

 

行人天橋將於8月1-15日拆卸。8月1-10日期間，施工人員將先拆除橫跨乾尼街 Kearny St.及希爾頓酒店 Hilton Hotel 的天橋連接段；8月10-15日完成乾尼街公園一側的天橋拆卸。

  • 乾尼街 Kearny St.（企李街 Clay St. 至華盛頓街 Washington St.）將於以下時段全面封閉：
    • 8月1日凌晨 1 時至8月3日上午 5 時。
    • 8月8日凌晨 1 時至8月10日上午 5 時。
    • 封閉路段內的商戶出入通道將保持開放，顧客仍可如常前往光顧。
  • 乾尼街 Kearny St.（企李街 Clay St. 至華盛頓街 Washington St.）將於以下時段部分封閉：
    • 7月30-31日及8月3-7日。
    • 8月10-15日：如需額外時間拆除橋樑支架，乾尼街行車方向西側兩條行車線及公園側行人路可能封閉；東側兩條行車線、Muni  服務及原有車站維持不變。
    • 乾尼街將保持至少兩條行車線通車。
    • 駕駛人士可使用指定繞行路線，避開擠塞。
  • 花園角停車場於 8月1-2日 及 8月8-9日 暫停開放。拆卸工程期間，逢星期一至五照常營業。
  • 施工期間，乾尼街 Kearny Street 將有工程車輛出入，或需臨時封線、交通減慢、行人繞行及實施「禁止泊車／違例拖車」管制。請遵從現場指示並預留出行時間。停車罰單/拖車查詢：致電311。
