Project Update (Week of 12/14/2020)
SFWD is scheduled to begin pressure testing the new line AWSS line at the Haight/Fillmore intersection. Due to the scope of work, the line will be tested in the evening. The work is scheduled for the evening of Wednesday December 16, 2020 at 8 PM and is expected to conclude by 10 PM. On Thursday, crews will back-fill the trench and begin apply temporary pavement to the area. In January 2021, our contractor will return to schedule permanent paving at the intersection.
The City and the Yerba Buena Community Benefits District have identified the Minna St and Natoma St corridors between the Transbay Transit Center and the Yerba Buena Gardens area as underutilized spaces and key pedestrian routes linking two civic nodes. The Minna Natoma Streetscape Project aims to activate and enliven these corridors by implementing streetscape improvements, pedestrian safety improvements, and public art.
The contractor has completed sewer main replacement work on Ortega Avenue. The final paving work has been completed between 24th Avenue and 29th Avenue. Final paving between 19th Avenue and 24th Avenue will be scheduled in the coming weeks. Ortega Street is the last location under this contract.
