New SFFD Station 49 (Ambulance Deployment Facility Project)

The new 58,451-square-foot facility, located at 2241 Jerrold Avenue in the Bayview, stands four stories tall and replaces the previous Emergency Medical Services headquarters, which was located in San Francisco Fire Department’s logistics warehouse at 1415 Evans Avenue. The new headquarters has state-of-the-art technologies designed to meet the specialized needs of Emergency Medical Services staff and will allow first responders to better prepare their ambulances for deployment when responding to calls for emergencies and health crises.

Construction of the first phase, two blocks from Hyde Street to Jones Street, was completed in June 2013. Mission Branch Renovation Project

The San Francisco Public Library is currently renovating the Mission Branch Library. On behalf of the Library, Public Works initiated a feasibility study that provided a needs assessment and analyzed the cost and practicality of design options.

The study recommended moving forward with a renovation of the Mission Branch Library, given that this branch lacks space to hold quality programs and the building’s systems are at the end of their service life.
