9th Avenue & Lincoln Way Improvement Project
Project Information
The 9th Avenue & Lincoln Way Improvement Project is an effort to improve the connection between the Inner Sunset neighborhood and Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. The entryway to Golden Gate Park at 9th Avenue is one of the most heavily-used entrances into the park, with attractions such as the SF Botanical Garden, the De Young Museum, and the Academy of Sciences close by.
Clayton Street, Clipper Street and Portola Drive Pavement Renovation, Sewer Replacement and Water Main Installation
Project Description
San Francisco Public Works hired Con-Quest Contractors, Inc., to complete sewer main replacement, water main replacement and pavement renovation work on Clayton Street, Clipper Street and Portola Drive. The work under this contract also included, new ADA curb ramps, new sidewalk, curb and gutter work.

Niagara Avenue Sidewalk Planting
Supervisor Ahsha Safaí has partnered with Public Works to create a plan for a more pleasant and comfortable environment for all who walk, bike and live along Niagara Avenue. Through the addition of trees and plants, the completed project will ensure that pedestrians feel safe using the street and minimize congestion. The project is funded by Supervisor Safaí’s Office.
Lombard Street Vision Zero Project
Traffic Advisory: Caltrans Bay Area has scheduled daytime lane closures from Monday, March 15, 2021 through July 2021, Monday through Friday on U.S. 101 Lombard Street between U.S. 101 Van Ness Ave and Lyon Street for a series of roadway improvements.

Background
San Francisco faces a significant challenge of homeless people living in encampments. The 2015 Point-In-Time count estimated that 6,700 people experience homelessness in San Francisco on any given night. 3,500 of those people are unsheltered living on the streets.

Evans Avenue Sewer Replacement and Pavement Renovation
Project Description:
San Francisco Public Works hired M Squared Construction, Inc., to complete sewer main replacement and pavement renovation work along Evans Ave. between Cesar Chavez St. and Hunters Point Blvd. In addition to sewer main replacement work, the project included curb ramp installation, street base repairs and repaving.
