From 70 feet in the air, Brooke Bianco clutched the rim of a bucket cart as it jerked and jumped higher and higher.

“I can see bird nests up here,” she called down to her 10-year-old son, Luke Bianco. “This is so freaky. I have a bird’s-eye view of the birds. You never get to see this from the ground.”

Anti-vandalism advocates gathering to fight the blight

City leaders, residents, artists, neighborhood businesses host free conference to address effective methods to prevent and abate graffiti

2016 Public Health and Safety Bond

In June 2016, San Francisco voters approved the $350 million Public Health and Safety bond (Prop A) with 79 percent voting in favor of the measure.
 
Funding from the bond will improve community medical and mental health services, emergency safety and medical response, and vital neighborhood fire stations and homeless service sites. The bond will fund capital improvements to City facilities to meet critical health and safety needs in San Francisco.

Ocean Avenue Streetscape Improvement Project

The Ocean Avenue Streetscape Improvements Project extends from Manor Drive to Brighton Avenue on Ocean Avenue in the Westwood Park and Ingleside neighborhood of District 7. Work will consist of sidewalk demolition, unit paver installations, plating area expansions, potted planter installations, palm tree planting infills, irrigation systems, traffic routing and all associated work.
